Race and racism in contemporary contexts

This is an ongoing series of research works that examines how online spaces shape our orientation and negotiation of race and racism.

Work here considers how orientations to ‘wokeness’ and progressive posturing on online spaces intertwine with our orientations to and negotiation of race and racism. For instance I show how complaints about being targets of racism are oriented to in terms of national reputation and consequently responded to with avowals of national belonging.
